Experience
Morocco is a country of contrasts and visiting just one place really can’t give you the full experience.
Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city and primary port, a lively metropolis set on the northern Atlantic coast. Though no longer the capital, the city is modern and distinctively Europeal in feel, offering a wide array of accommodation, and restaurants considered to be among the country’s finest.
Located on the Atlantic, Rabat, the capital of Morocco since 1912, is one of the so-called imperial cities. It is one of the oldest cities of Morocco filled with hundreds of traditional shops and cafes. Rabat is modern, laid-back and European in feel, with numerous parks, wide, tree-lined boulevards and a handful of decent beaches to head to when temperatures soar.
Mekens is the ‘Moroccan Versailles’. The city partly excavated by UNESCO was once a very important Roman and Berber city.
Fez is an ancient breeding ground for scholars, artisans, and Imams. It is Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart, an enchanting city where ancient and modern thrive side by side. Fez is acknowledged to be the most important of the four Imperial cities, the others being Rabat, Marrakech, and Meknes. Fez is vibrant, brimming with history and buzzing with life.
Marrakech is one of Morocco’s most vibrant and exciting cities. It presents the visitor with a full-on assault to the senses - vibrant, a cacophony of noise, exotic aromas- as the ever-changing tableau of human activity unfolds before you. Marrakech is the fourth largest city in the country and located to the north of the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is possibly the most important of Morocco’s four former imperial cities. The city has won the title of ‘Red City’ and ‘Ochre City’ as many buildings are constructed in red sandstone.
